The Back Story:

Miniverse itself is a universe custom engineered for miniature golf -- epic-sized minigolf. An advanced race whose love of the sport defied all logic (and the recommendations of their accountants) persuaded them to build the largest miniature golf structure in all of infinity. This mini-universe contains planets and moons that are lovingly terraformed into challenging miniature golf courses. To better the experience, shields were implemented to keep the ball within the walls of the course...a feature you won't find back home.

Players can choose on which planet to play. Single and multiplayer options are available with both stroke play and croquet-style death matches. Courses are littered with obstacles ranging from typical sand and water traps to explosive devices. Secret areas, hidden holes, and alien power-ups all add to the chaos.

In celebration of the grand opening, the alien management of Miniverse is holding a contest that searches the far reaches of space for the finest miniature golfer – and you’re invited. So pack up your putter and put on your space helmet. You’re going to Miniverse.

Putting Methods
There are two different types of putting methods. Try them both and see which one you like best:

Pull Putt: (Default putting style)

1. Left click mouse button on ball and hold mouse button in.
2. While holding the mouse button in drag the mouse in opposite direction of where you want
the ball to go.
3. Like a sling shot, the farther you pull back the faster the ball will go.4. Release the mouse button to hit ball.

Push Putt: (F8 will toggle putting style)
1. Left click once on the ball to begin putting.
2. Rotate mouse left and right to aim shot. Click when you are satisfied with the angle.
3. Pull mouse toward you (down) to increase power. Click when you are satisfied with the power.
4. Push mouse away from you (up) to hit the ball. The harder you push, the faster the ball will go. (The ball will travel no faster than the power level previously selected.)

Note: clicking the right mouse button cancels either shot.

Sound- Turn the game sounds on and off. Also toggles the background noise.
Frame Limiting- Also improves performance. Choose a lower speed on a slow computer.

About Miniverse Skins
Filenames, fonts and general location loosely follow the popular WinAmp skin format, so it shouldn't be much trouble to convert your favorite WinAmp skin to the MiniBox format. In the Skins directory, under your Miniverse directory, there is a Miniverse Base Skin. You can use this as a template for skin design. If you are interested in more information about skin designing please check out our web site at
www.no2games.com. We will be adding "helper" skins and user submitted skins over the next few months.

NOTE: Take care not to DELETE any files in these folders!
