When I launch Internet Explorer, the installer runs and installs Internet Explorer after I
had already installed it.
- This is normal functionality for the Self-Healing feature in Internet Explorer. When Internet
Explorer first launches and checks for the presence of the correct versions of certain libraries,
there are two possible scenarios: the silent installer has not run yet or necessary system files
are missing. In either case, the silent installer is executed, and then Internet Explorer is able
to launch. The latter of the two cases is called Self-Healing because the application fixes any
inflicted damage without any interaction needed on your part.

- The site you are trying to visit may be busy or temporarily off line. Try again later.
- The page might have been moved. Try visiting the site at a top level, for example, "http://www.sample.com," and then look for links that lead to the page you are looking for.
If these steps don't work, try connecting to the Internet using another application, such as Outlook Express.
If you can connect using an application other than Internet Explorer:
If you cannot connect to the Internet using any application:

Internet Explorer support for QuickTime, QuickTime VR, and QuickDraw 3D opens
the World Wide Web to exciting new digital video formats and
three-dimensional sites and elements that are based on Virtual Reality Markup Language (VRML).
To view digital video formats, you need to install QuickTime version 2.5 or later
from
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/.
QuickDraw 3D is required to view Virtual Reality Markup Language.
Attention QuickTime 3.0 users: Internet Explorer version 4.5 ships with QuickTime
plug-in version 1.1.1, which is compatible with QuickTime version 3.0 and earlier.
Although compatible, the added functionality of QuickTime 3.0, such as quick-start, is not
available using the Internet Explorer plug-in version. Install QuickTime plug-in version 2.0
or later into the Internet Explorer plug-ins folder to access additional features. The plug-in may
already be on your system in a different plug-ins folder if you previously upgraded to version 3.0.
A simple way to find out is to open the hard drive, press
-F, and search for
QuickTime plugin on your hard drive. If a later version is located, copy it
to the Internet Explorer 4.5 Plug-ins folder.
