The version of the following support notes is the final revision.  
Please check also the references to driver updates and to 
system configuration in the respective helpfile (A).

B1  The SPEAlogo doesn't delay the start of Windows! 
    It does however inform you which graphics board and driver are 
    installed - valuable information for Customer Support - and it
    confirms whether you have correctly installed the current driver!
    
B2  Install a permanent SWAP-file (see your Windows manual).
    Defragment your harddisk on a regular basis, using e.g. DEFRAG (DOS) 
    or Norton's SpeedDisk.
    Remove unnecessary entries from the WIN.INI (unused fonts, blocks that 
    belong to software no longer used etc.) 
 
B3  The currently installed grabber files are incorrect for the installed
    VGA board. Configure Windows again for the VGA board and note the
    following entries in your SYSTEM.INI:
    [boot] 
    386grabber=........ 
    286grabber=........
    [386Enh]
    display=...........
    Then configure Windows again with the BigWin driver and manually change
    the lines above to the noted settings for VGA.
	 
B4  Install the current BIGWIN driver (available in the BBS) or, with FGA/
    HiLite, the TIGA driver from Windows (see the manual).

B5  Windows 3.1 or later and PAINTER/GALLERY/FLASH
    The current driver is the last release for these boards! There will be 
    no more updates for these boards.
    The ACRTC processor is too slow for today's Windows and its CAD 
    applications - any of the SPEA V7 boards is faster.
    Please check our SyncFix package to upgrade to today's Windows power 
    while still using the fixed frequency monitor! It contains two SPEA V7
    boards with all the necessary software. Alternatively, consider 
    upgrading your system to a modern VGA card.

B6  For boards of the old Graphiti (ISA) Series (Painter/Gallery/FGA/
    Hilite/Fire) are no more drivers for these applications available.
