Services

Net Vampire provides a number of commands for an easy management of received files.

Destination Folders
You can tell Net Vampire to store files of different types in different folders by creating Destination Folders. For example, you can have all your ZIP files saved in the C:\Down\Zip folder, while all other files will be stored in C:\Down\. Net Vampire allows you to create an unlimited number of Destination Folders.

To add or edit Destination Folders, select Options/Destination Folders in the Main Menu.

Run Program
Here comes a useful post-processing feature. On download completion Net Vampire can run the program associated with the extension of the received file (check the Run Program / Associated option on the Post-Processing tab page of the System Options dialog) or execute a user-defined program - great for running your favourite virus scanner on all received files.

Open Received File
This menu command allows you to instantly open received files without leaving Net Vampire. It is safe to open the file this way while it is being downloaded.

ZIP viewer
Net Vampire has a built-in ZIP viewer that allows you to list the contents of a zip file as well as view, open and extract files from the archive. Best of all, this feature works even when the zip file is being downloaded - the contents are updated as the data are coming.

Open Local Folder
Use this command to open the directory where the received file is stored.

Erase Received Files
allows you to erase selected partially or completely received files without deleting the Jobs from the Job List.
