Kaos Rhei 0.9 - Readme-File ============================ (c) Bjoern ischo 1997 Overview: --------- Kaos Rhei is a program for rendering fractal images which can be used in as stand-alone images, textures or bump maps for 3D rendering. It currently supports more than a dozen different fractal types, including M-Sets, N-Sets and N/M-Sets. A unique formula parser gives you full control over the coloring of the fractals, either using a preset 256-color palette, or applying different formulas to RGB or HLS color space. Image size is only limited by the available memory. Additional features include integration of plasma clouds, several filters, and various fractal options such as inverted fractals. Minimun requirements are 8 MB RAM, a Pentium processor (or a comparable with FPU), and High Color or True Color display. Version Info: ------------- This is a BETA-version, that means the program might still have some bugs, or parts are not completed yet. Please check the Kaos Rhei website at http://members.aol.com/bischo6639/kaosrhei.htm often for the latest updates. Kaos Rhei is in a constant flow as I am a tinkerer, and new versions might be appearing quite often. Please also note that this Beta has a still incomplete help file!! This beta was last updated >> 07.12.97 13:00 Installation: ------------- The archive file contains the program itself, plus the help file. Just put them into a directory of your choice. There are also some other ZIP-files within it: params.zip - several sample parameters to get started (some of them by Stephen Ferguson) delphi.zip - not the source code of Kaos Rhei, but a simple sample project and a unit for complex numbers that show how to write fractal generators in Delphi (2.0). No documentation, more is to come.
