Installation disks

There are many ways of installing Linux-Mandrake. The most popular is installation using the CD-Rom but you can also install it using an FTP server, by NFS (local network), or even using an SMB volume (Microsoft). According to the method you choose, you may need one or many installation disks.

Should you choose to install Linux-Mandrake from the CD-Rom and you own a machine which allows you to "boot" up from the CD-Rom drive, skip over this section, it is not necessary. Otherwise, the disks required depend on the method of installation chosen:
