Command Line Switches
01.05.2004 19:11

Some of the basic functions in eMule may be controlled by command line switches. This allows execution in batch scripts or remote accessing eMule in a Telnet session.

Syntax:
emule.exe status

status
Writes some information on current transfers to the file status.log
connect
Connects to a server
disconnect
Disconnects from a server
limits=up,down
Sets the limits for up- and download speed. Same setting as in Preferences -> Connection -> Limits
resume
Resumes any paused or stopped file in the downloads list
restore
Restores a minimized eMule task
ignoreinstances

Allows the execution of multiple eMule instances.
Note:
For two eMules running on the same machine they must be installed to different folders, must have different temp folders and also the ports used by each eMule have to be unique. It is not recommended to run two eMules concurrently apart from testing purposes.

exit
Quits eMule
assertfile
Debug option. Wrtites possible assert information to a file instead of breaking execution.
