:: INSTALLING, UPDATING AND UNINSTALLING

INSTALL
   The fastest way to install mdiNotepad is by using setup.exe. You can
   also install mdiNotepad manually by copying mdipad.exe and all the
   other files to any directory you please, and create the shortcuts
   you need. 

   The Setup of mdiNotepad makes no modifications to your Windows registry.
   This way you can install mdiNotepad to any windows environment. The only
   downside to this is that you have to setup the file associations
   yourself.

WINDOWS XP
   Is some cases Windows XP won't let the setup overwrite and replace
   notepad.exe, it being a system file. If this happends you have to replace
   Notepad manually just by overwriting notepad.exe with mdipad.exe and
   making sure all the other necessary files can be found in the same
   windows directory.

UPDATING
   If you already have a previous version of mdiNotepad installed to a 
   directory just select the Install option. If you have replaced Notepad
   with mdiNotepad and wish to update, select the Replace notepad.exe
   option.

UNINSTALL
   If your have replaced the original notepad.exe then run the mdiNotepad
   setup again and select the Restore backup option. If your have installed
   mdiNotepad to a directory select the Uninstall option.


:: KNOWN PROBLEMS AND BUGS

   Some Windows XP users may encounter an "Invalid Image size" error,
   which may cause mdiNotepad not to start. This bug will be fixed
   as soon as the cause is found.


:: FURTHER OPTIMIZING

   If you want to use mdiNotepad to edit the notepad.ini file you must
   first open the file in one session, make the changes, save and start
   another. Then close the first session.

   PrintMargin=<top>,<left>,<bottom>,<right>
   
   This paremeter enables you to modify the margin mdiNotepad uses
   when printing. The values represent pixels. The amount of pixels
   per inch depends on the resolution used by your printer.

   UseSystemIcons=0/1

   For some Windows XP and ME users the icons in the Open Files menu
   don't show correctly or at all. In this case set the UseSystemIcons
   value to 0 and the default icon will be used.
   
   ShowDocumentsIcons=0/1

   By setting the value of this parameter to 0 the Documents menu 
   won't load the icons associated with each file. This will make
   the File menu work faster.

   2.4 : Block edit, Restore session, Exit on Esc and Backup on Save
         features added. Some optimizing and fixing of old features
         done. Hidden parameters to enable further optimization of
         mdiNotepad added (last version 2.4c).
   2.3 : Arrange and Save Copy functions added. Tab as spaces and Library 
         features added. Text and background colors customizable and the
         document window icon now indicates if the document has been
         modified. Also more functions for customizing the function keys
         added. 
   2.15: Bugs fixed and some features improved, Break Lines function added.
   2.1 : Favorites menu, Windows size is saved and two more customizable 
         function keys added (F11-12) .
   2.0 : New improved Browse Files tool, customizable function keys
         (F5-F8) and a Find and Highlight function added. Also a big
         bug in the Auto Complete function fixed and some small
         features added and improved here and there.
   1.9 : Auto complete, Insert file and Calculator functions added. 
   1.85: Execute, Overview and Auto paste functions added. Bugs fixed.
   1.75: Bookmark and Open with functions added. Toolbar made customizable
         and some bugs fixed (last version 1.75b).
   1.7 : Preferences menu, Open Files window, (file) Properties,
         (recent) Documents and Paste/Copy Special functions added,
         some previous functions improved and bugs fixed. Setup
         updated (Uninstall added).
   1.5 : Crop, Show Toolbar and Stay on Top functions added, bugs fixed.  
   1.4 : Browse Files, Reload and Highlight functions added, bugs in the
         setup fixed.
   1.1 : Some functions added, bugs fixed (last version 1.1c).
   1.0 : First public release (Build 2).
   1.0 : Never released on the Internet. One of my first projects using
         Borland Delphi (Build 1).
