Insert Image Effect

Inserts an Image Processor Effect choosen from the Select Image Processing Module dialog.

Image processes take a completed rendered image and modify it in some way. Any topic that can be classified under the heading of Image Processing can be incorporated into an Image processor. Examples are Lens Flares, Video Special Effects, Fog, etc. The Renderer's post-processing can do much more than this because it is possible to store depth information during the rendering process and to mix in other image and depth information during the image post processing phase.

Any number of Image processor effects can be added to each animation, they are applied in the order they are listed in the dialog box and apply for the specified number of frames..

Each will have their own particular list of parameters and settings and all the relevant information is recorded in the OFX aniimation file along with the other animation details. As is the case with the textures and Animation effects it is possible to write third party plug-in Image Processors..

Note the Video and XVideo effects alone contain fifty (50) individual video effects. Each is held in a EFX file in the PSOTPRO folder.

Important Note: All image processing effects require that the Full Screen Buffer is turned ON, and some require that the Z screen buffer is ON as well. This is done by turning on a check box in the Render Options dialog. These settings are ON by default.
