McFrend
Menu:
File:
McFrend works with playlists and with databases. The difference between a database and playlist is that a playlist is a list of media files that can be played in sequence. A database is a list of Titles, Artists and Genres of media files, with easy search options and edit options. The database can hold thousands of media files. With McFrend's database you never have to search your harddisk(s) to search for that mediafiles you want to play. You can easy drag & drop multiple media files from the database to the playlist.
You can open a database with Open Database.
You can open a playlist with Open Playlist.
You can save a playlist with Save Playlist.
Search:
You can search the database for artists and titles with Search.
Database:
You can make a new database with New, and edit an existing database with Edit. With check, you can check the database.
Playlist:
This menu item will also popup if you right click the playlist window.
You can add files/urls to the playlist with Add file(s)/ Add Urls. You can also drag & drop media files/urls from eg. Windows Explorer to the playlist window. You can even drop media files on the Drop Box when visible. You can remove the highlighted file in the playlist window with Remove. You can shuffle the playlist with Shuffle, and clear the playlist with Clear.
Create CD:
With the Create CD option you can create a CD with media files, and a database with those media files. McFrend can't burn a CD, but it creates a directory which can be burned with a 'burn program'
