For people needing to get the tardist program
loaded onto their pre-IRIX 6.2-based machines:
To install the netscape.sw.tardist subsystem, select the seven files netscape, netscape.books, netscape.idb, netscape.man, netscape.plugin, netscape.src, netscape.sw in the text box below, and press the "[Generate] a compressed tar image of the above-selected item" button. This will copy to your own machine the 5.45 MB netscape 2.02S software. After you have saved it out somewhere on your own local disk, run This will create a subdirectory called 5.3 containing the netscape inst images. Then in a shell window as root user, run Make sure the netscape.sw.tardist subsystem is selected once inside inst, and away you go.
