Here is the authors first attempt at a strategy game. It is not exactly a
variation on chess; it would be more accurate to say that chess is a
variation on it. Without going into details, (thats what the docs are for),
Chess+ is chess with variable pieces. The author finds it extremely fun.
You will need a color monitor, a joystick or mouse, and a good deal of
brains to play Chess+. To begin, run the .SFX file on a disk with about
90 blocks free. It will dissolve into two files: CHESS+V1.1 and CHESS+DOCS.
Use any sequential file reader/printer to print out the Docs. They are in
PETASCII format. YOU WILL NEED THE DOC'S IF YOU WANT TO HAVE ANY IDEA AT
ALL HOW TO PLAY. Then, all you need to do is run CHESS+v1.1 in 128 mode.
The author was only 13 when he devised this game. GOOD LUCK!!! |

This is a two player 'chess like' game involving dice. It is based on an
actual board game, (though I forget its name). Each side has a total of 36
dots on 11 dice. The object is to capture enough of your opponent's dice
so that he or she can no longer have 36 dots. When you capture one of your
opponents dice he or she must adjust his or her other dice so that he or
she has 36 dots. There is a special square in the middle of the board that
will allow you to replace taken dice.
The game supports two joysticks although all that is needed is one. Press
