Welcome to the Demonstration program for Top-Down Library.

This version requires the runtime DLL files for Xbase++ version 1.3.  A
copy of these runtime files can be downloaded from the Top-Down web site.

Top-Down Library version 1.2 is now shipping, and includes a printed
manual with Tutorial, and all the source code for this Demo and for
the Tutorial application.

Top-Down Library may be purchased on-line directly from the Top-Down web site
via a Secure Transaction Service through CyberCash, using a Visa or Master
Charge credit card.  Or I can take your credit card order over the telephone
at 561-833-7956.

Top-Down can also be purchased from Grafx Software at 800-659-4723, or at
their web site.  The Top-Down page at Grafx is found at
www.grafxsoft.com/topdown.htm.

The current advertised retail price is $249, and is currently discounted to
$179.

Purchase of Top-Down Library includes free tech support via my email address

                             INSTALLING THIS DEMO

This demo package contains this readme file, the demo program td12demo.exe,
and several other files.

Running tddemo.exe  with a -d switch, like this:   tddemo -d

will create a \DATA folder underneath the program folder, and extract the
following files:

 - td12Demo.exe, jawbon4.wav in the  program folder

 - two DBF's and an FPT in the \DATA folder


NOTE: this demo exe requires the Xbase++ runtime DLL files from Xbase++
version 1.3.  If you have Xbase++ 1.3 installed the demo will run ok.
If not, be sure to download the runtime package from the web site.

and either blank or period thousands separater, be sure to run the Demo
with an 'E' switch like this:   td12demo E
