This contains enough files to get one started with TeX and Latex.

ART10.sty ART11.sty ART12.sty ARTICLE.STY  style files for LATEX
PLAIN.FMT Plain tex format
LPLAIN.FMT Latex format

Put LPLAIN.FMT and PLAIN.FMT in directory \tex\ or directory 
specified by TEXFORMATS environment variable. Put *.STY files in
\tex\inputs\ or TEXINPUTS env var area.
