Welcome to IBM ED On-Line. IBM has been providing educational services for the past 75 years, and we are the industry leader. Thomas Watson, Sr., our first Chairman of the Board, summed up IBM�s commitment to education when he said there is no saturation point in education.

IBM's commitment to education is still as strong today. Our current chairman, Lou Gerstner, hosted a summit meeting in Palisades, New York, which included President Clinton and the state governors. They came together to discuss ways we could improve the educational system in the United States. IBM's commitments to progressive education, the advances in technology, and the existence of the World Wide Web now allow us to reach an audience far wider than we could have a few short months ago.
