New Information Regarding Qualitas MAX 8 New information since the Release This document contains new information acquired since the release of Qualitas MAX 8. Please watch our on-line services for an upgrade patch that will address these problems. ROMSearch may fail with an internal system error 01E0:xxxx on some Pentium systems. Work around this problem by not running ROMSearch or by adding the new keyword NOPNP to the 386MAX.PRO file in your Qualitas MAX directory. When you receive this error, just reset the system. Your system will boot into Maximize (where it left off). When you see the message "ROMSearch needs to identify your mouse...", press the escape key and Maximize will run to completion. If you prefer, you may use any text editor to edit the 386MAX.PRO file in the Qualitas MAX directory to add the keyword NOPNP to allow ROMSearch to run successfully on these systems. Rerunning Qualitas MAX Setup from the icon sometimes causes a sharing violation even if no files are copied. This message occurs because some of our own files may be open when you rerun Setup. If you encounter this sharing violation, click on the Cancel button. Setup continues and is not affected by this message. During Setup, clicking on Enable EMS may have no effect in the final configuration of Qualitas MAX. Expanded memory may not be present or available, even if you requested it during Setup. Use the DPMI/EMS tab in Qualitas MAX Toolbox to enable EMS memory and rerun Maximize. You must rerun Maximize to reconfigure high DOS memory. MAXedit may fail when trying to print multiple times. After printing once from MAXedit, clicking on the print button may have no effect. Exit MAXedit and reopen it when you need to edit more than one file.
