CMYK Color

In some situations, the CMYK color values in an image or document might not be suited for the printer. The following are two examples of this:

The CMYK values for an image or document were optimized for a certain printer, and now the image or document needs to be printed on a different printer.
The CMYK values for an image or document are optimized for a printing press, but a draft needs be printed on a less-expensive printer.

For best results, the CMYK color values in the image or document need to be adapted to the printer. Select the appropriate color input profile from the list:

Default CMYK+: HP CMYK+ technology (Enables a high-quality default CMYK print path. This option can be selected for most digital commercial print jobs and should produce optimal prints.)
SWOP: Common ink standard in the U.S. and other countries/regions.
Euroscale: Common ink standard in Europe and other countries/regions (also known as Euro Standard.
DIC: (Dainippon Ink and Chemical) common ink standard in Japan and other countries/regions.
Custom Profile: Select this option to use a custom input profile to accurately control color output (for example, to emulate a specific HP Color LaserJet printer). Color profiles can be downloaded from www.hp.com
