Norma Letinsky,
Learning Disabilities
Specialist/Assistive
Computer Technology Instructor
I probably have the longest title of anyone working at this college-I am the "Assistive Computer Technology and Learning Disabilities Specialist"! What that means is that I teach special assistive computer (ACT) classes and direct the ACCESS program's computer lab. I teach Assistive Keyboarding (ACT M02), Introduction to Computers (ACT M04), Word Processing (ACT M05), Speech Recognition Dictation (ACT M06), Computer Aided Instruction (LS 14), and the lab classes that coordinate with some of our Learning Skills classes. My job is to help our students learn to use computers effectively, and determine exactly which hardware or software is appropriate for their special needs

Chitra Chandavarkar,
I have been a part-time faculty instructor with Moorpark College since 1998. I teach several courses in Microsoft Office Technology, Database technology, Webpage Design and System Analysis. My career as an instructor began in 1996 with California State University, Los Angeles, where I taught courses such as ôIntroduction to Computer Information Systemsö and Programming. I am also an adjunct faculty member at California Lutheran University and Pierce College, where I teach programming courses.
I love being with students and teaching a variety of subjects. It has been my experience that the process of teaching is a learning process as well, as you learn from your students and keep growing professionally.

I have been a part-time faculty member with the VCCCD since in 1977. I began my teaching career at Oxnard and Ventura Colleges before teaching at Moorpark College. I have also worked at Moorpark College in 1974 as a full-time classified employee. After working in several different offices I found my place in the ACCESS Program as a full-time Support Services Technician.
I've taught Intro to the PC, Intro to Windows, Keyboarding, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
I find teaching to be fun and rewarding. I especially enjoy working with all the interesting students that I meet.
My education comes from Moorpark College, California Lutheran University, and my years of experience working with computers.

Kelly Macone
Currently, I am teaching Web Design I (CIS M30 Section 78148).
I started working at Moorpark College back in 1994 as the Staff Resource Center lab technician. I created the Moorpark College Web site, with the help
of Guy Campbell. The site is now maintained by the talented efforts of Dean Adams.
I've taught such classes as Intro to the PC and DOS, Intro to Windows, Microsoft Office, and Visual Basic .NET.
I find teaching to be fun and rewarding--That is why I teach. I especially enjoy teaching Visual Basic programming because programming is challenging, fun,
and rewarding. On top of that, Visual Basic is a great language to start learning how to program in the Windows environment.
It also keeps me on my toes in my own programming that I do for fun and at my full-time job.
I've lived in Newbury Park for over thirty years. My education comes from Newbury Park High School, Moorpark College, California Lutheran University,
and life itself.
