HiDef is a high resolution playback program designed for previewing digital film work at resolutions up to 2048x1152 at 24fps. HiDef was developed for use at Weta Digital for production of the Lord of the Rings movies, where they are using a number systems running HiDef for previewing and digital dailies. Weta Digital now completely own this software.
