With the ``SET'' command various options can be switch on and off. The
syntax is SET OPTION ON or SET OPTION off e.g.
SET CACHE ON.
- ``EXTEND'':
If this option is switched on Filer will extend all pathnames used for the
directoywindows e.g. ``DEVS:Prints'' will be extended to
``Workbench2.0:Devs/Printers''.
This option is on for default.
- ``CACHE'':
With this command the directory cache can be switch on and off. Some
filesystems e.g. MessyDOS don't cooperate with Filer's cache very well.
In this case the cache can be switched off.
This option is on for default2.
- ``DOUBLECLICK'':
If this option is switched on doubleclicks can be used to do a lot of
things (refer to ).
This option is on for default.
- ``COPYFLAGS'', ``COPYDATE'' and ``COPYNOTE'':
These options are used to decide which file informations should be copied.
``COPYDATE'' is for the date, ``COPYFLAGS'' for the protection flags and
``COPYNOTE'' for the filenote.
These options are all switch on for default.
- ``NOASK'':
If this option is switched on some security request will be switch off,
e.g. Filer will not ask you before deleting something.
This option is off for default.
- ``STAY'':
If this option is switched on Filer stays resident if you quit it — if
you select ``Quit & Die'' Filer will of course quit really. Filer will
now close all windos and free all allocated memory. By pressing LEFT-AMIGA
``F'' or starting Filer again it can be reactivated.
This option is off for default.
- ``DESELECT'':
If this option is switched on all files, directories and softlinks will be
marked as deselected before they are put in the cache. Otherwise they will
be selected if the directory is taken from the cache.
This option is on for default.
