There's a bomb on the ship!

Hint 1 of 12:

If you press the "disarm" button on the bomb, you'll actually arm it.  It
isn't armed until you press the button.

Did you ever hear the joke about the man who goes to the doctor and complains
"It hurts when I do this..."?

The doctor said "Then don't do that."

Hint 4 of 12:

So maybe you just shouldn't press the button in the first place.  You're not
going to get anything out of disarming the bomb.  You could just restore to
an earlier game and bypass this puzzle altogether.
