How do I fix the fan on the Promenade Deck?

Have you found Mother yet?

Go to the Bilge Room.  She (?) is there.

Try talking to her.  She seems awfully sick.

Or at least, she has something caught in her throat.

Maybe you could do something to help her get it out.

Have you tried to pick up the parrot from the Parrot Room near the Top of the
Well?

Drag the parrot into your inventory and try to leave the room.  You won't get
the parrot, but you will get one of his feathers.
