Wakefield Show

The Wakefield RISCOS Computer Club (formerly the Wakefield Acorn Computer Group) are pleased to be able to confirm, that after much debate after the tragic death of Mike Wilson one of the principal organisers of the show in a fire, that this years show will be again held over the weekend of 18th and 19th May at the same venue as the past few years; Thornes Park Athletics Stadium in Wakefield.

The show will be formally opened by the Mayor of Wakefield at 10:30 am on the Saturday. The show will be open to the public between 10:30 am and 5:30 pm Saturday and 10:30 am and 4 pm Sunday.

The show will be AA sign posted. Wakefield has excellent Rail with services from London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, York, Newcastle, Manchester Airport, Sheffield, etc, Bus/Express Coach services and Road links, with Wakefield being at the cross roads of the M1, M62 and M621. There will also be a free car parking, but regrettably we will not his be able to do the mini bus service from the station this year, due to the serious illness of the driver.

Over 20 exhibitors have so far booked and more are still booking for this the premier two day show in the RISCOS Calender.

There will once again be a charity stall at the show. Over �5000 has been raised over the years for various charitable causes. Items for the stall can be sent/delivered to the following address after 1st April.

The ever popular Show Theatre will once again be featured upstairs, confirmed speakers are currently Cerilica, Brian Jaques, and we understand R-Comp and Martin W�erthner are booking slots.

A new facility this year will be the online Credit Card ordering facility via the show website
