RISC World

Next Issue

Aaron with just some of the delights that should be in RISC World Volume 3 Issue 1.

Well once again we are at the end of a volume of RISC World. The magazine keeps getting bigger, and I hope better, with each issue. We are now getting far enough ahead of ourselves that we can turn back round and see where we were before we got to where we are now (eh? - DB). This means we can give you a sneak preview of what we hope will be in the next issue.

Volume 3 Issue 1

Coming up with the next issue we'll have the complete, commercial, version of Easy C++. Previously priced at just over 100 (but more recently available at much less), Easy C++ is a comprehensive C and C++ compiler supplied together with a tutorial for those new to the C programming language. The complete program, together with electronic documentation, will be included on the CD-ROM and there will be the opportunity to buy the printed manuals at a special RISC World price.

Of course we have lots of other exclusive commercial products waiting to go on the next volume of RISC World, but you will just have to wait and see what they are!

All our regular columns will continue as usual, including Brian Pickards module series, Paul Bretts PD World, Hugh Jamptons Weird World Web and Richard Walkers networking series, to name but four.

Also in the next issue will be the concluding parts of Dave Holdens article on floppy disc drives, as well as the fascinating story of Nelson and the first computer.

A number of new series will be starting in Volume 3, including a game development column, a new education column and a comprehensive series on writing CDs using RISC OS. Of course we will also be having our usual mix of special features. Next issue will have a subscribers view of RISC OS Ltds Select upgrade, as well as a review of the long awaited TEK.

It's subscription time!

So if you want to see the next action packed copy of RISC World, you may well need to renew your subscription. Regretfully we have had to increase the subscription price slightly to cover costs. Caviar and cigars don't come cheap any more. So a subscription to the next volume of RISC World will cost £19.90 for UK subscribers and £21.90 outside the UK, an increase of £2.00 on the old subscription price. The increased subscription price will fund even more articles, so we can continue making RISC World bigger and better. Remember if you want to get a copy of Volume 3 Issue 1, you need to re-subscribe as soon as possible. Subscriptions are available from APDL, and here are all the contact details.
