New Support: 4.4BSD-Lite2 merge complete for kernel sources. SMP (Symmetric Multi-Processing) branch also merged into this release. The default username length has increased to 16 characters. Enhanced support for if_media selection. /etc/sysconfig now replaced by more compact /etc/rc.conf file (new since 2.2.1). Multi-session ISO-9660 CDROMs are now fully supported. Numerous speedups and miscellaneous performance enhancements to systems like vfork(). Security fixes, new bundled utilities (like top) and many other interesting new things.
