Still, it keeps my well-developed sense of vanity alive and it pleases me that I can irritate people who ask what I think of a particular movie to go look it up on my site because I'm far too important to "interface" with them on a personal level.

"Without any sort of validation any enterprise is doomed to mediocrity and purposelessness", at least that's what my father said to me when I was three. He could have been (and probably was) talking about the web. Still, his stern words haven't deterred me from adding to the info-pollution on the internet. As one of the internet's comparatively few users who predate the http protocol, it occurs to me that life was simpler then, before I had to fill my free 5MB of webspace like every other joe schmoe.
