IMPERIUM REX v2.10 - Fourth Release: February 2, 1995 Copyright (c) 1989-1995 Brainstorm Software - FREEWARE Category: MS-DOS Strategy Wargame --- Abbreviated Description: --- This is basically a world domination game: Your goal is to take over and rule all of civilization (for the good of the people). Strategy, tactics, and logistics all play a role in the success of your empire. You will start by ruling one city and having ownership of just a few objects. Then, you will seek out the establishments of your opponents and forcefully persuade them to follow your cause (since there is no time to reason with them). However, the largest and most powerful of your prey are an alliance that stands for freedom and independent rule, and resists change with all their might: the Neutral Player (NP). There is a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 3 human players, and always one Neutral Player that is played by the computer. Playing with only one human is considered to be a practice game. Human opponents are highly recommended. Supports play-by-email or other non-real-time remote playing. Interface is mostly alternate-character-font text-based. No animated graphics or sound card support - this isn't an action game in that sense. However, if you like war and strategy games, at least give this a try! --- Hardware Requirements: --- Colour VGA (512K); Mouse. --- Revisions: --- v1.0 - Oct.31/93: First release v1.01 - Nov. 9/93: Second release - bug fix v2.00 - Aug.22/94: Third release - bug fixes plus many new features v2.10 - Feb. 2/95: This release - bug fixes (rather important ones) We have good ideas for v3.00 but we need to know if you are interested!
