A Resource About Information About Migraines

     With an estimated 16-18 million Americans suffering with migraine, it is
little wonder that so many questions about "sick headache" are referred to me.
This disease is often familial, occurs in women about 3 times more often than
men, and can affect children as well as adults.  A great deal of information
about migraine, its causes, prevention and treatment is available from the
National Headache Foundation, and it is very easy for you to obtain.  Two
excellent publications are included in their offer to you this week.  One is a
brochure called "Plain Facts About Migraine:  Symptoms and Treatments".  It
explains the nature of migraine, describes the two categories, ("with" and
"without aura"), and lists some of the factors that can precipitate an attack.
The second offering is a reference card, called "Headache:  Q & A" that
provides 13 commonly asked questions and their answers about headache in
general.  Both are yours by sending a stamped self addressed business size
envelope with 2 first class stamps to The National Headache Foundation,
