A Resource About National Kidney Month

     The month of March has been declared National Kidney Month and this year
the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) wants us all to understand the important
roles the kidney plays in our health.  The basic function of these two
precious organs is to filter blood to remove waste products, and regulate
blood pressure.  But of course there is much more to the story of our kidneys,
one which most certainly is of interest to everyone.  Part of that story is
told in a new booklet entitled "Your Kidneys, Master Chemist of the Body"
obtainable from your local NKF Affiliate (check your community directory for
an address) or by requesting it directly from the National Kidney Foundation,
2 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10016. (Please enclose a stamped, self addressed
envelope.)  And here's another tip.  The NKF has 38 brochures covering all
aspects of kidney disease, kidney failure, urinary tract infections, organ
transplants and many others.  Single copies of any of these booklets are also
available, free of charge, so request their publication list as well, so that
you can appreciate the scope and work of this fine organization.  The
information contained in these booklets is of unsurpassed quality, and is well
worth your efforts to obtain them.  Tell them Dr. Bruckheim sent you, it may
