When Warner Bros. Television decided to expand into international markets, they wanted an identity that would distinguish them from the Warner Bros. domestic channels, and also establish them as the world's pre-eminent supplier of movies, cartoons, and original programs. This logo (and its animation) uses the familiar Warner Bros. shield and cloud background to reinforce their existing presence, then adapts it for international use by adding the three-dimensional TV ball and gold Warner Channel frame.
