Tapestry was designed to be a user friendly hierarchical environment. The slightest details
have been engineered into the product to make your time on the Net a rewarding experience. A
256 color viewer has been included for easy viewing of downloaded files. Icons have been
created to signify when a file that is being downloaded is complete. Smart tool bars give the
user one button access to many commonly used functions. Dial on Demand allows you to
conserve precious time and money on your Internet exploration.
Internet Organizer:
This Internet Organizer allows you get to work almost instantly. Various categories of
information are logically organized and displayed in folders similar to a filing cabinet. One touch
of the button and you are seconds away from the information you desire. Personalized categories

Preconfigured IP Providers:

WWW Browser:
The Tapestry includes a World Wide Web browser. Based on the
HTML Plus draft Internet standards, it allows you to view a hypertext
document with in-line images. A simple click on a hyper-link can take
you transparently from a document located in one spot to
information located elsewhere. You are viewing this information
currently using the WWW browser.
MIME Email:
Supporting industry standards SMTP, POP 2 & 3 protocols, Email allows a centralized
server to receive mail while workstations are off-line. MIME binary file attachments allow users
to send and view mail messages with attached graphics, spreadsheets, sound, video and more.
SuperTCP/NFS was the FIRST TCP product to provide MIME support and now we offer it to
you in SuperHighway Access. Email supports rules-based messaging which provides automatic
sorting to organized mail more efficiently. An Email threading capability allows a user to view
selected messages in a viewing window as a separate group. Word wrap, font selection,
hierarchical folders, as well as personal address books are included.
NNTP News Reader:
Frontier's NNTP News Reader was the FIRST product to give Windows users access to
the thousands of news and information databases available on the Internet News System. The
News Reader is based on the NNTP (Network News Transport Protocol) and provides client
access to NNTP servers available from almost all universities and computer centers.
SuperHighway Access' News Reader features include next/previous article-viewing, margins,
changeable fonts, multiple selection options, split view through header and posting.
File Transfer Protocol:
The File Transfer program includes drag and drop application capabilities for both local
and remote hosts. The client-server File Transfer Program takes an object-oriented approach
that speeds file transfers and enables you to perform remote file and directory management
tasks. Simultaneous graphic displays of local and remote file systems ensure quick and accurate
operations. Integrated with File manager.
VT100:
SuperHighway Access' VT100 allows you to log onto a remote host via the TELNET
protocol and process commands as if you were at a directly connected terminal.. VT100
provides multiple sessions, also font and color selections.
Slip, Cslip and PPP:
Over 100 preset scripts allow the user to quickly connect to the server of their choice.
Changing from Slip to PPP is as simple as hitting one button. All the protocols support
dynamic, Bootp and fixed IP address acceptance. Extensive scripting capabilities include the \u
and \w in both the Expect and Send Configuration box. Phone number are capable of being
upto 123 characters long. Improved status monitoring allows better communication of client
server status.
Printing:
Extensive printing facilities let you commit the information
you retrieve to hard-copy. Print Setup, Printer Setup, Print Preview
kind of facilities let you see how the hard copy is going to
look before you actually print it.
Windows Socket Compliant:
Frontier Technologies was the first release 100% windows socket compliant TCP/IP
applications. That tradition is continued in the SuperHighway
Access product. WinTapestry is
fully winsock compliant and will run on any other windows compliant stack.
