You cannot send anonymous email through Match.Com's anonymous remailer
if the address from which you are sending email doesn't match the
address EXACTLY as it appears in your registration form.

A: In order not to be renewed, just keep an eye on the exact end date of
your subscription (OFFICE > Review Billing Summary) and remember to resign
anytime prior to this date. Please note that resigning is effective
immediately and that you will not be granted any time you may have left on
your subscription.
A: If you cannot locate this member's profile through BROWSE > Handle
Search, then the member has most likely hidden their profile, but they can
still receive anonymous email so go ahead and send them a message.
A: Venus sends you any new or updated profiles which match your criteria.
So, if a member whose profile matches yours updates their profile
regularly, then you will receive their handle each time.
A: You will receive anonymous email at your registered email
address, exactly like a regular email message. Look for your
anonymous email when you check your email.
A: To send anonymous email from your own email address, please
address your messages to: anon.XXX@match.com where XXX is the
anonymous handle of the person you wish to contact. You can only send
anonymous email from your registered email address. Your registered
email address will be removed from the "From:" line of the email, so
the recipient will see only your Match.Com anonymous email address.
A: Please try sending yourself a test anonymous email and if it bounces
send a copy of the FULL bounced message to feedback@match.com. Be sure to
include the header info, the "To" and "From" line of the BOUNCED message.
A: You can change any information in your registration form under OFFICE >
Update Registration. Remember to select Update once you have done this.
A: Log on as a member and proceed to Profile. Make any changes to the
form and select Submit Profile Now to submit your changes.
A: You can send us a digital or hard copy of your photo.
Send your photo as an attached file to:
photos@match.com. Please make sure that the file size is less than 500k and
name your attached file with your CID (Customer Identification Number,
select
OFFICE > Update Registration). Your photo will be cropped to a 150 x 200
pixel (1.5 x 2 inch) vertical gif.
Send your hard copy photo for scanning to:

You must include your CID (Customer Identification Number, select
OFFICE > Update Registration) with your photo
submission. If you would like your photo returned, include a
self-addressed stamped envelope.

A: We use two-way matching, so you must match other peoples'
preferences as well as their's matching yours. Therefore, people you
see while browsing may not show up in your matches even though you
think you are compatible. Try using one of our advanced
browsing features: Power Browse or Super Search?
A: This refers to the most recent time the member
logged onto our site using their handle and password, sent anonymous email
or updated their profile.
A: To resign from Match.Com, please log on as a member and proceed to
OFFICE where you can select the link to Resign.
Please remember that you can also Hide your profile. Just proceed to
your Profile and select Hide in the last question of the form.

Q: How do I get started?
A: It's a simple and easy process, which usually involves downloading the
ichat plug-in. Visit our "Get Started" section in
chat help for more information.
A: Please visit our "getting started" section in chat help,
and browse the table of computer/browser combinations, to select the
best option.
A: ichat will work with Netscape Navigator 2.0 or higher and Internet
Explorer (if you are running Windows 95/NT). You will need to upgrade your
browser to one of these to be able to use Match.Com's chat.
A: Put your mouse in the bottom rectangle and type away. When you're
done, hit enter and your typed message will appear in the dialog box.
A: If you currently are using the latest version of AOL for Windows 95 it
includes Microsoft's Internet Explorer as its web browser. If you are
currently using this browser you should be able to use ichat. If not,
please visit our instructions for AOL
users.
A: Use "/ignore add" followed by the username of the person
you are trying to ignore. For example, to add the user
"badXconduct," type, "/ignore add badXconduct." If
you'd like to remove a user from your list of users being ignored type,
"/ignore remove" followed by the username. For example,
"/ignore remove badXconduct."
A: The VIP Lounge is reserved for Match.Com full members. So, if you're
in your free trial period you will need to sign up as a full member to
have full access to this chat room.
A: You've probably installed the plug-in incorrectly. Try reinstalling
it, making sure to place it in the plug-in folder of the Netscape
version you are running.
A: Your screen resolution is probably set to 640X480. You need to make
an adjustment to your screen, follow the directions below that apply to
your computer.
A: These errors persist because you do not
have the temporary directory defined by windows. You must to go to
the MS-DOS Prompt and type "echo %temp%" without the quotes,
if that directory does not exist then create it and all will work
properly. In all other cases where the unpacker is complaining, please
download the plug-in again.
A: The Global Chat application from Quaterdeck uses the same mime type
as ichat does - application/x-chat. We ask that you download the
following file to your Windows 95 desktop and then double click it. It
will remove the registration of the global chat in the Windows 95
Registry. Please be advised not to edit this file in anyway, otherwise
it could cause harm to the Windows 95 registry. It is recommended that
you back up your registry on a regular basis. Please see Microsoft's
CFGBACK.EXE program for information on backing up the Windows 95
registry. We suggest that you first reinstall the ichat plug-in before
proceeding with the download and execution of the following file:
remove.global.chat.reg
