Information for New Users

If you're a new ListPro user, ListPro will start with a file called My Lists. This has some very brief introductory information. You can get more documentation in ListPro's Help, and in the ListPro Support area of our website. There's also a complete, downloadable manual, available on our website as well.

We're also always happy to answer questions or provide more information.

When you're done looking at the examples, you can create your own ListPro files and lists, or download over 250 free lists from the List Exchange on our website.

Information for Users of ListPro 2.0

ListPro 3.0 has many changes and new features. New features are listed below. Please do note the following important changes from earlier versions of ListPro.
  1. Moving (horizontally or vertically), cutting and deleting items will now affect any subitems of the item you're acting on.

  2. You can now select whether check status is inherited between parent and child items. This option is controlled in List Properties. It will be OFF for any lists you convert from earlier versions of ListPro, but will be ON for any new lists you make (unless you change the template).

  3. You can now select whether lists are automatically reordered after each sort. If this option is selected, it means that your original item order will be lost as soon as you sort a list, but that you'll be able to move items in a sorted list. Similarly, this flag will be OFF for any lists you convert from earlier versions of ListPro, but will be ON for any new lists you make (unless you change the template).

  4. Paste, export and import work very differently. We hope the changes are more in line with what people want and expect, but if you're used to the way these used to work, there are significant changes. Indent level is no longer a pasted field, yes/no columns are only pasted when the data contains only 1s and 0s, and fields with the same type (and order) are matched. Import and export let you select which columns you want to import or export. Please let us know if you'd like more information about how this works.

  5. The Pocket PC version no longer has the "Show More Fields" pick, and the old "Item Summary" pane has changed to show just the item's Notes.
