Writing to Disc

Creating a disc

As the Macintosh version of IMxVCD2 does not support direct writing to CD-R, no drive writing settings are available. Create a Video CD format disc image by following [Saving a disc image] below.

1.
Enter a disc name.
Enter text into [Disc name]. You can use letters (A-Z), numbers (0-9) and _ (underbar), with a maximum of 30 characters.
2.
Check [Create disc].
3.

Select the [Drive] to be used.

The names of any available drives will be displayed in the menu. Drives that are not connected will not be displayed.

4.

Perform [Test Settings]. (Video CD only)
To perform a test before writing to disc, select [Write after testing] from the menu, to skip testing, select [Write only].

There are no [Test Settings] for Macintosh.

5.

Select [Write speed].
Select the disc write speed from the Menu.

As Macintosh judges the type of disc then writes at the optimal speed, there is no [Write speed] button.

6.

Perform other settings.

To check that the contents of the written disc matches the original data, check [Confirm after writing]. (Windows only)

To include an Operation Guide in the written disc, check [Use Guide]. The Operation Guide is a user-friendly explanation of how to playback the disc. When playing the created disc in a player, this Operation Guide will be displayed first.

Any movie content that does not comply with the Video CD and/or DVD-Video standard is automatically resized in IMxVCD/DVD. Check [Use interpolation] to adjust pixels and improve quality when resizing movie contents. Do not check and resizing alone will occur, with image quality falling in some cases. However, disc creation time is longer when this setting is checked.

7.
Click the [Write] button and write to disc.
