Running Powerball 2
The following 4 easy steps will quickly enable you to run Power Ball 2.

1. Rigth click on the start button at the bottom left corner of your screen and then left click on 'Open'.

2. Now, double left click on the 'Programs' icon in the 'Start Menu' window.

3. Then, double left lick again on the 'Quake II' icon.

4. Finally, right click on the 'Quake II' shortcut icon and select 'Properties from the menu. Append '+set game pball' to the end of the 'Target' text field.

Double click on the icon and you should now be running powerball! If not then contact James Bielby at james@bielby.u-net.com

You could also append '+set game pball' in Game Spy 3d in the Gameplay tab under View | Options, as shown.

NOTE: Only start a powerball map in multiplayer. Otherwise you will not get the full effect. For testing just start up a local listen server, which has been included with the Power Ball zip file4.

How to play Powerball (The Aim)
The aim of powerball is to have more points than the other team!
You can do this by scoring points in the opposition's goal.

Scoring
You get 10 points for your team if you score a goal by running into the goal-point with the powerball or 5 points if you throw the ball into the goal.
You score 1 point for killing someone but 2 if you have the powerball.
There are two scores at the top of the deathmatch scoreboard which represent the total score for each team.

Teamplay console variable
There are different values for teamplay:
0 - Players can't hurt other team members they but they can hurt themselves. (recommended mode)
1 - Players can't hurt other team members or themselves at all!
2 - Players can hurt everyone.

Changing your sex
Just use the player setup screen now - Thanks to ^Dante^

Throwing the ball
Type in at the console :
bind <key> cmd throw
(where <key> is any key on the keyboard) and then press 'key' to throw the ball with it.
Practice your throwing!
It will be one of your most valuable assets in Powerball.
(I recommend aiming up a bit from where you want it to land)

Messagemode2 (Say2)
Use the command:
cmd say2 <your message>
to send a message only to your teammates. (Messagemode2 messages have '()' brackets around the senders name to indicate the difference from normal messages)

Changing teams
You can change teams using the commmand:
cmd team <red or blue>
This will kill you and remove one frag from the target team score, so only do it if they really like you!
Team selection will come in soon (well not so soon but it will come!)

Maps
Current maps are:
pbtest - Powerball Test Level (Skull)
pb_tsop -Powerball: Two Shades of Pain (Shimtz)
powball - PowBall (Brian "EvilBastard" Collins)

More maps are in the works. If you want to create a map feel free! If its good enough we will include it (at the moment this means anything will go in :-) Goto the main page for the entity information.

Orbs
They're on the way marines! Probably next version. Also there will be one bonus orb :-)
