If you are using ThunderWalker as a client, setup is realtively painless. If you are going to run it as a server, there is a little more work to be done. It is assumed that you are familiar with running CTF4.0 as either client or server, as appropriate.
CLIENT SETUP
1. INSTALLATION
That's about it. Remember that this is an "addon" patch to 3waveCTF and ThunderWalker 3.x, so everything goes into the same directory as CTF3 and CTF4, and you will need to have CTF3 and CTF4 also installed. Fire up your QuakeWorld client on any TW server and go to town.
Version 4.0 SERVER SETUP
(QuakeWorld Version)
1. You need both the TW40_CL.ZIP and TW40SV.ZIP files. The client archive has all the sounds, models and maps. The second has the source code, a sample server.cfg, and a pre-compiled qwprogs.dat. If you haven't downloaded them yet, you will also need the CTF 3.5 and CTF 4.0 files, for the maps sounds and models in them as well. They are at http://www.planetquake.com/threewave/htdocs/c4dl.html.
2. Install the client as described above.
3. The maps in ThunderWalker 4.0 come with the new entities pre-compiled in them, so you will not have to manually install the entities.
4. Edit the server.cfg/autoexec.cfg, if you so wish, to fit your configuration. You most assuredly will want to change the name of the server from "Generic_Thunderwalker_4.0-CTF". We ask that you please leave "ThunderWalker" or "TW" in the name of your server so people know what kind of CTF they are connecting to.
5. Fire up your server using the command "qwsv +gamedir ctf" (QuakeWorld) or with "-listen/-dedicated" (Regular Quake).
