Working In A Network

AMF Daily Planner and PIM was designed to work either on a single computer or in a network. Working in a network is simple because AMF PIM introduced the following features:

- Opening and closing databases can be done easily from the File menu.

- You can set the default database location to the network. You can do this easily from the Preferences window. After that, you will be connected to the network database when you start the application.

- There can be multiple users for the same database. In this case you are asked for a name and a password before login. There are different roles for users: administrator, editor and viewer.

- You can refresh your displayed data by clicking a button. This option is useful because during a period of inactivity another user may change the data but your view will not be updated. You can click the Refresh button and the data will be reread from the database, assuring you will see the latest changes.
