1. What is Internet Connection Monitor?
You want to monitor your internet connection input and output throughputs? You want to display them numerically or graphically? You want to know how much time you've been connected? You want to record accumulated time, input and output?
Then Internet Connection Monitor is what you need!
Internet Connection Monitor allows you to monitor your internet connection time and throughput.
- All windows are global floating windows which makes them always visible.
- You can set their visiblity and transparency.
- You can connect and disconnect your internet connection manually or automatically at launch and at quit.
- You can display a bar graph to show your real time input and output throughput.
- You can display a history graph to show the evolution of your real time input and output throughput.
- You can display the numerical values of your real time input and output throughput as well as your accumulated input and output.
- You can display your connection time as well as your accumulated connection time.
- You can automatically reset your accumulated time, input and output at the beginning of each month.
- You can configure additional and minimal times at each connection.
- It doesn't need any installation which makes it very easy to use.
- It is compatible with Extended Software Updater.

Internet Connection Monitor might not work with connections other than modem/dial-up internet connections.
2. How to register?
As long as you use it unregistered this software package works normaly, but it has a time limit and annoying windows (About window, Registration window, Popup windows, ...).
To remove all of them you just have to register at AlphaOmega Software's website.

3. How to install it?
No particular installation is required. When you download the .sit package, it should unstuff automatically. If it does not, you can double click on it or use Stuffit Expander to unstuff it.
Then you just have to double click on the application to launch it.
4. How to uninstall it?
There should be no reason to do this. ;-)
However, if really needed, you just have to throw it into the trash, that's all.
5. How to use it?
The "Connection" menu:
It allows you to connect or disconnect your internet connection.
The "Windows" menu:
It allows you to show or hide each window independently.
The "Main" window:
It allows you to connect or disconnect your internet connection.
It allows you to automatically connect or disconnect your internet connection at launch and at quit.
It displays the current state of your internet connection.
It allows you to set the theoretical maximum input and output throughput according to your type of connection. For example a 56k modem has a maximum input and output throughput of 7 kB/s (because 56 kilobits per second = 65/8 kilobytes per second = 7 kilobytes per second).
It allows you to set the transparency of the windows.
It allows you to reset your previous accumulated time, input and output, which can be displayed in the Throughput window and the Time window when you click on them.
The "Main" window:
It allows you to modify the behaviour of the application and the parameters of the Time, Graphs, Bars, Throughputs and Amounts windows.
The "Time" window:
It displays your connection time since you connected your internet connection.
The "Accumulated time" window:
It displays your accumulated connection time since the last reset.
It can be automatically reset at the begining of each month.
The "Input graph" window:
It displays a history graph to indicate in real time the evolution of your input throughput.
Place the mouse over the window to make the bottom right grow box appear and be able to resize the window.
The "Output graph" window:
It displays a history graph to indicate in real time the evolution of your output throughput.
Place the mouse over the window to make the bottom right grow box appear and be able to resize the window.
The "Input bar" window:
It displays a bar graph to indicate in real time your input throughput.
Place the mouse over the window to make the bottom right grow box appear and be able to resize the window.
The "Output bar" window:
It displays a bar graph to indicate in real time your input throughput.
Place the mouse over the window to make the bottom right grow box appear and be able to resize the window.
The "Input throughput" window:
It displays the numerical value in real time of your input throughput.
The "Output throughput" window:
It displays the numerical value in real time of your output throughput.
The "Input amount" window:
It displays the numerical value in real time of your input amount.
The "Accumulated input amount" window:
It displays the numerical value in real time of your accumulated input amount since the last reset.
It can be automatically reset at the begining of each month.
The "Output amount" window:
It displays the numerical value in real time of your output amount.
The "Accumulated output amount" window:
It displays the numerical value in real time of your accumulated output amount since the last reset.
It can be automatically reset at the begining of each month.
