inch:

A customary unit of measurement about two finger spaces long. 


foot:

1 foot = 12 inches 

centimeter:

A metric unit of measurement about one finger space long. 


Home Activity  
Cut 4 straws or paper strips into different lengths. Have your child arrange the straws from shortest to longest.

Challenge your child to find objects around your home that match the lengths of the straws.
