Layers in PhotoLine 32

To make imaging easier PhotoLine 32 supports as many layers as fit in your memory.
You can tread a layer image like a stack of transparent foils. On every foil is a part of the
whole image drawn. If you place the foils one over the other, you get the full image.
The big advantage of this technique is that you can change every part of the image without having affect to the other parts. For example you have an image with a flower and an image with a little butterfly. Then place the butterfly on the flower. When you do this with layers, you can move the butterfly when ever you want or you can filter the butterfly without affecting the flower.

Most layer functions are available from the menu Layer or from the Layer Panel. If you right click on the Layer Panel you will get most layer functions.

With the Layer Intensity slider you can set the active Layer transparent.
If you activate the Show Layer button, the layer will be displayed otherwise it will be not
shown. Right click on one of the the show buttons and you will get the opportunity to show all or no layer.
The Mark Layer button is used for grouping layers. You can set the button on some layers and then select Layer/Group Marked Layers. A group is a set of  layers that can be moved together and selected together. You can't change the elements of a group. If you want to do this, you should first dissolve the group Layer/Dissolve Group. Right click on one of the mark buttons and you will get the opportunity to mark all or no layer.
The Little Preview shows the layer so you can find the layer you want to activate.
You can set the Layer Name by double clicking on the field. The Layer Info dialog appears and you can setup the name, size and resolution of the layer.
Layers will be displayed in the order from top to bottom, that means layers that are at the bottom of the layer panel will be drawn last and therefore on the top of the image. You can change the order of the layers by dragging the layer in the layer panel to the layer position you want.
