Customizing for Different Locales and Platforms

Project Builder helps you create applications, bundles, and frameworks that are customized for different locales and computer platforms. Generally, you'll start by creating platform-neutral files for one particular locale, called the development locale, and add more locales and platforms later.

In Project Builder's file list, a file customized for different locales and platforms has a triangle beside it. To list the file's variants, click the triangle. To add and remove locales and platforms, select the file, choose Project > Show Inspector, and use the Localization & Platforms menu.

Note that the labels for the files' variants that are shown in Project Builder's file list are different from the files' actual names.
