Inserting symbols and special characters

You can insert special characters and symbols by using the Insert Symbol command when a topic is open in the WYSIWYG Editor.

To insert a symbol or special character:

1. Open the topic in the WYSIWYG Editor and click where you want to insert the character.

2. From the Insert menu, select Symbol. The Insert Symbol dialog opens. This dialog displays all symbols and special characters that are available.

3. Take one of the following actions:

• To insert a single character and close the dialog, double-click the symbol.

• To insert a character and leave the dialog open (if you want to select more symbols), select the symbol and click Insert.
