Use the Project Settings dialog to set up the way you want your Help project to look and behave.
Compile: Use this tab to change the basic properties of your HTML Help project including its title, start topic, default window, and the name of the compiled .CHM file. If your project includes build tags, you set up the build tag expression syntax from this tab. You can also set up compilation options such as the name of the log file that records information, the kind of data you want to view in the compiler pane, if you want to include full-text search in the .CHM file, check for outdated files prior to compiling, and automatically compile outdated files.
Advanced: Use this tab to add a full-text search stop list file (to enhance full-text searching), set the compiler to generate an HTML Help 1.0-compatible .CHM file, and control how your system allocates resources for compilation.
TOC Styles: Use this tab to define the appearance of your table of contents. You can select display attributes such as borders, scrollbars and raised or sunken edges. In addition, you can select the default display font, specify that the table of contents opens in a custom window or frame, and add a custom image file with unique icons that you can assign to books and pages.
Information Types: Use this tab to define categories and information types, make updates to existing ones and remove those you no longer need in your project.
Index: Use this tab to define the appearance of your index. You can specify that the index opens in a custom window or frame, as well as select the default display font. If you are merging HTML Help indexes from external .CHM files, select the Binary Index option to merge indexes from external .CHM files when you compile your project.
WebSearch: Use the WebSearch tab to enable WebSearch in your project. Enabling WebSearch involves adding search concepts (keywords used to find information on the Web) and application data (if your project is used with an application), selecting where to display search results (viewer) and selecting search options if you want to customize the WebSearch results.
Windows: Use the Windows tab to customize the viewer and to design custom windows for your project.
