Select the topic text that
you want to use as the target.
From the DHTML
menu, click Insert/Edit Dynamic HTML Effects.
The DHTML Effects dialog opens.
Under When,
select 1st trigger activation.
Under What,
select the type of effect you want to add to the text the first time the
user clicks the trigger.
Under Settings,
modify the effects property values as necessary. For example, if you select
the Fly-in effect, you can determine which direction the text will fly
in from by changing the Direction property value.
Under When,
select 2nd trigger activation,
then repeat steps 4 and 5.
Click on the trigger, then
drag the mouse to connect the trigger to the target text in your topic.
A green arrow indicates the connection between trigger and target.
Add the DHTML effects to
each portion of text that you want to connect to a trigger.
Click on the trigger, then
drag the mouse to connect it to the first target text. A green arrow indicates
the connection between trigger and target.
Hold down the Shift key
and click on the trigger. Continue holding down the Shift key while you
drag your mouse to the second target text you want to connect.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 until
you connect all target text to the trigger.
Connecting triggers to text
You can enhance the appearance and functionality of your help topics
by connecting triggers to target text and assigning DHTML effects to the
target.
