Window
positioning & Screen resolution
Offsetting Folders
You can specify the horizontal and vertical distance
of the windows relative to their parent windows. For example, the disk
window is a parent to a folder residing on the disk. If you open both then
this option lets you specify how the windows are stacked.
Top-level window position
Here you can set the location for the first window
in the folder hierarchy which you are going to rearrange. Subfolders are
stacked in relation to this window as specifier with the Offsetting Folders
option.
Window options
-
Set Window size to
This option allows you to change the size the windows so every window

-
Zoom windows before positioning
This option zooms windows before their final position on the screen
is calculated. If it contains only a few items, then the Finder will reduce
the size of the window. On the other hand, if the folder is packed full
with items, the window will become larger.

for which the folders will be optimized. This is useful when you want to ensure
that every window will be visible even when using smaller screen sizes.
