Discover the features of HTML-Optimizer, HTML-Optimizer Pro or Web Site Maestro!

We recommend that you use a printed copy of the Tutorial to guide you through this Test Web Folder.

The two pages Lotto Chances and Weight Control are error-free. Test these to see what you can save by optimizing and try various optimizing options, e.g. with and without optimizing script code.

This Home Page contains a number of errors that you may discover by using the various functions of the optimizer program that you are trying.

Now follows the part with intentional errors for the purpose of testing.

This line of demonstrates a broken link to a page named demo.htm.

There is also an image missing here.

But we do have an image of the HTML-Optimizer logo

but the ALT attribute is missing.

On the other hand, we have an image of the Web Site Maestro logo

Web Site Maestro

but this time the WIDTH and HEIGHT attributes are missing.

Often one uses deprecated tags like <FONT> and <CENTER> and even forgets about the end tags as you can see when you use the Check Tags function.

Another mistake often made is to leave out the end tag of the tagged pair <P></P>, like we do in this sentence. Note that in the past everybody left out these end tags but you should know that these are now mandatory according to the W3C rules.

In languages other than English we see many special characters that have to be converted to be properly displayed in a browser. Let's demonstrate this with the German word berschtzen that has to be converted to überschätzen or überschätzen, or the French word phmre that has to be converted to éphémère or éphémère. The first conversion uses the Entity notation and the second the #N notation - that's your choice.

So far the examples for testing the functions Check Tags, Check Internal Links and Convert Special Characters. You may test the function Optimize by optimizing the pages of this TestWebFolder and then have a look at the code and view the optimized page in your browser.

Enjoy!
