What is the StrataList? The StrataList is an Internet mailing list dedicated to the discussion of Strata's products. It mainly discusses StudioPro, Strata's flagship 3d product, but users of any Strata products are welcome. At times you will see engineers, tech support and various other Strata employees lurking around in the StrataList. Please be courteous to these people. They are on the list to help you and to listen to your suggestions. How To Subscribe Send all list subscription requests to lists@strata3d.com: To Subscribe - In the body of the message put "subscribe stratalist" Leave the subject blank. To Unsubscribe - In the body of the message put "unsubscribe stratalist" Leave the subject blank. To Digest Subscribe - In the body of the message put "Set stratalist digest" To Digest Unsubsribe - In the body of the message put "unsubscribe digest stratalist" All messages should be sent to stratalist@strata3d.com You can reach the list administrator at webmaster@strata3d.com
Rules of the list 1. Do not include large sections of a message in your reply. Especially not to say "Yeah, I agree." Those who do will be lynched. 2. Use an appropriate Subject line. Descriptive subjects get more attention. 3. This list is for the discussion of all Strata products, Macintosh or PC based. If anyone tries to start "my PC is bigger than your Mac" flame wars, they will be forced to use POV-Ray exclusively, without a modeler. 4. Do your homework. Please read the FAQ or manuals first. 5. Stay on topic. No "for sale" or "want to buy" ads, and NO chain letters or political endorsements. 6. No copyrighted materials. 7. KISS -- Keep It Short and Simple. Trim quoted material, and keep your signatures short. 8. Any questions regarding the list must be addressed to webmaster@strata3d.com, otherwise they will go out to everyone on the list, and they don't want to see your questions. 9. DO NOT POST BINARIES TO THE LIST! This means no unencoded files, no attachments, no nothing. Ignoring this rule can cause huge hassles for the subscribers. Breaking this rule is the only one that can (and probably will) get you dropped from the list.
