Some of the exciting new features of
StudioPro v2.5 include:

  • StudioPro v2.5 is cross-platform. Available now for Power Macintosh or Windows NT! All models, textures, shapes and suspended renderings can easily be transferred back and forth between platforms.
  • OpenGL support on both Windows NT and Power Macintosh gives you the ability to position textures right in your modeling window. It also allows you to load an image or movie as a backdrop for object positioning and editing.
  • All of the renderers (Scanline, Raytracer and Raydiosity) are at least 20% faster. Our Scanline renderer will also produce soft shadows.
  • The Inverse Kinematics (IK) system now supports a single polygon mesh object with vertex level definition.
  • Metaballs or any shape can be used in the Fountain FX shader.
  • Objects can be defined as collision detectors to make any of the particle systems bounce off that surface.
  • Additional animation controls include support of four types of animation paths - bezier, linear, tension-continuity-bias (TCB) or natural spline and the ability to cycle back and forth in the project window.
