FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q: Why can't I move it like Apple's clock?
A: Apple controls OS X and they made it so that you can command click on the clock, battery, airport, modem, and other Apple menu items can be dragged into different positions. We just haven't figured out how to do this yet as Apple does not publish it.Go to TopQ: Why does it disappear with some applications?
A: This happens when there is not enough space for clock item and the menu of the active application encroch on iClock's space. Making iClock display only the time will most likely fix this or disabling the other menu items. Command-dragging off the menubar any of Apple's menu items will remove them.Q: How do I remove Apple's clock?
A: Command drag off the menubar any of Apple's clock menu item will remove them. They can also be put back in the menubar from that item like Date and Time or Sound in the System Preferences.Q: How do I change settings for my desktop effect?
A: Open the Screen Effect panel in the System Preferences, select the effect in the list. then press customize.Q: How do I set appointments in the calendar?
A: iClock is not a calendar program, so it does not currently have appointment support. If you double click on iClock's calender it will open Apple's full feature calendar program iCal (if you have it installed).Q: Is it possible to add custom sounds?
A: Yes; you may add custom private sounds in the user's sounds directory (~/Library/Sounds). If one does not exist, simply create a new directory and name it Sounds. You may also add custom sounds to the /Library/Sounds directory. Modifying the /System/Library/Sounds directory is NOT recommended.Q: My system menus are all disorganized after iClock starts up.
A: The order is controlled by the order in which they are launched (except for Apple's Menu Bar items).Q: Why don't you put iClock on the very right.?
A: To get iClock on the very right of the menubar, quit other (non-apple) system menus and start iClock first. Then start the others. In the login panel, drag iClock to the top to have it load first at login.
