Description Bladebatch © Eugene Loginov. Frontend for MP3 encoder called BladeEnc © Tord Jansson. Version 2.99 released October, 10th 1999 was tested with BladeEnc versions 0.70 - 0.82. Special thanks to Michael Baehr, you know for what. This program is distributed as FREEWARE, so no warranty of any type is given for its use. Features Fully hidden BladeEnc window, but you can still view progress, estimated time indicators, elapsed time and speed indicator too. Check files before adding in queue, so BladeEnc can receive only supported files. 'Overwrite' and available space check before encoding each file. Can be switched off now. Full single-file batch. Batch-function is built into the frontend, so you can add and remove files from queue, while one of them is encoding, or change the settings from defaults before encoding. Computer shutdown after encoding. Drag and drop support. Pause function. If you want to temporarily use CPU resourses, press Pause, do what you need and press Pause again. While window is minimized or overlapped with others you can see status of encoding on Taskbar. Various position of BladeEnc. Explorer context menu support. You need not anymore (but still can) drag files into BladeBatch window, just rightclick on it and select Make mp3. Enable this feature on the Settings tab before use. It is applicable for drives and folders also! Various order of files in queue (just drag selection with mouse). A few sort orders were added too. Simple ID3 tagging. Saving unfinished job and loading it later for editing. Move files in one target folder after encode. Copy deep levels of tree of input file. Usage No special installation is required, just extract program to a folder. Run once to set default encoder options. Adding files To add files in queue just do one of following: Press Add button and then select files, or Drag and drop files in Bladebatch from Explorer, or Right-click on files, folder, or disk and Select Make mp3. In the last two cases you need not to have Bladebatch runned already. Changing encode settings Added files have default settings, these were selected on the Settings tab. You may override them for one or more files. Assigning ID3 tags Select ONE file in queue and press the ID3 button (or doubleclick, or press Enter on file). Fill fields and press Assign (or Ctrl-Insert), to remove tag press Remove (or Ctrl-Delete). It works with completed files too, be careful. To access other files press PgUp or PgDn. Hold buttons above fields to save these fields from changes while changing file. Encoding Press Encode to start encoding. You may do any of the three steps above while encoding a file. Before removing program, you can clear the registry entry by holding the Restore defaults button on Settings tab for 3 seconds. You may also need to delete bladebatch.dat file in same folder as the program, if you have not finished last job. Contacts E-mail Tors Jansson... BladeEnc's homepage... E-mail me... My homepage...
