Startup

This is the Startup screen of Windows Inspector. From here you can manage the applications which start with windows.

  1. This is the list of applications which start with your computer. Here you can see lot of information about the startup item. All the suspicious items will be highlighted in the list. In location column
    HKLM > Registry All Users HKCU > Registry Current User Startup LM > Startup Folder All Users Startup CU > Startup Folder Current User
     
  2. From here you can narrow the scope of items. Startup Items fall in two categories. One which are started from registry and other which starts from Startup Folder. These two categories are divided under items which will start for All Users and those which will start for Current User. To view a particular category click on the appropriate node.
     
  3. From this button you can disable checked startup items.
     
  4. From this button you can enable checked startup items.
     
  5. From this button you can delete a startup item. Be careful while deleting since startup items are not backed up.
     
  6. From this button you can view detailed information about the selected startup item. This will help you to identify the startup item correctly.
     
  7. From this button you can generate a detailed report about the startup items. The report will include all the startup items shown in the list. To generate a full report click on the All Items and then Generate Report.
     
  8. Clicking this button will open the folder in which the selected startup item is residing.
     
  9. Clicking this button will refresh the list
